Positions in Government and Election The government is made up of two layers, the “Mayor” and the “Leader”. The Mayor is in charge of and will take care of all the problems in each “Community” or town. There will be on Mayor for every Community. The Leader will be in charge of a country, like the President or Prime Minister in our world. Each country will be made up of 20-30 Communities which should be around the size of one Canadian province. The election for Mayor will take place every three years and the election for Leader will take place every five years. Of, course if they don’t resign. To be elected for Mayor a person must have graduated university and must go to “Mayor-School” a special course that will teach them all of the things required to be a Mayor including honesty, wisdom, empathy, initiative and other things. The Mayor will then be elected through a competition that will test them on all those virtues many different and unexpected ways that change each election. The last challenge will be a competition where the candidates have to train a society out of a small group of animals. The Leader will be elected by a vote of the people in the country. To be elected for Leader a person must have been Mayor twice and be born in the country they are applying to be Leader. The Leader will then be elected by a by a vote of the people.
Law The laws started from a book written of the basic laws from the start. New laws are added over the years as they are required. Laws can be proposed by the Leader and the Mayors. A law must be voted on by all the Mayors. The law is then approved by the Leader. If a law is important (most laws are) a Leader is encouraged to propose them to the other Leaders so that there is not much of a difference in the laws of countries. The laws are enforced by the “Enforcers”. There must be one Enforcer station and at least 15 Enforcers for every community. The Enforcers are taught ways to incapacitate someone without weapons in the beginning of their course. If required a Enforcer will be able to use a taser which will be hidden in their Enforcer cloaks so citizens will not become scared of weapons like in our world. Citizens are also encouraged to inform the Enforcers anytime a crime occurs. If a citizen is threatened they can tell it to the “Messenger” a special Enforcer who changes his appearance and name every time. His appearance can be found out by dropping a note off at the city hall. The information will be returned in six hours. If a law or rule was broken the offender will be sent to “Rule-School” a rehabilitation center where the offender will be taught on the rules. The time spent in Rule-School will vary depending on how severe the crime is with a minimum of one day. There is one exception, if a law in the book of unforgivable laws was broken, the offender would go to Rule-School for one year and be relocated to a waste-disposal community, where they will do the most hated jobs in the world.
